Interview by Beatrice Engel
Clayton resident, Alex Berger, moved to Clayton in 1954. He became the fourth generation in the same house, as his own father had attended Captain in Demun years before. After completing his years at Wydown, which was only one building at the time, Alex transferred on to high school which began in the eighth grade. Berger had a variety of fond memories at CHS including football season, winning peppers king, the junior senior prom, 2004 football state championship and Ladue rivalry. Alex Berger still lives in Clayton and his closest friends with other fellow CHS graduate friends. Today, Berger continues to participate in the community as an alderman.
